More information about Body Armor Coin saved a soldier - 2 BELGIUM 1935 20 Francs Silver Coins - WW2

These are 2 coins in similar condition.  They are 1935 Belgian Coins, 20 Francs with Leopold III on front.
They have been shot with a rifle.
According to my uncle, these coins stopped an enemy's bullets in World War 2.  He was in General Patton's army.
They were won in a poker game from the man who was shot.  One still has glue on the back (probably from being glued to an undershirt).  The glue is only around the outside, since it was shot in the center.  The other coin still has the bullet that shot it.  My uncle considered them to be good luck charms.
Coins were used to make improvised body armor (coin armor).  This practice goes back to at least 1792.  The year of 1935 is consistent with use in World War II.  Silver coins were dense, so they were a good choice.  Obviously they worked.
When minted, these were 11 grams and were 68% silver, so they contain 15 grams of pure silver.  But this is secondary to their historical value.
I would favor these to have a good home.
