Vintage/antique porcelain teacups and saucers made in Limoges, France, likely between 1890 and 1902 by Jean Pouyat Limoges (JPL).Cups and saucers feature hand painted pink and yellow mums and have scalloped edges embellished with gold trim. Each cup is 1 7/8 high and 3 1/2 in diameter at the rim. They hold about 5 ounces. Pattern POY840 by Jean Pouyat.All cups and saucers are backstamped J. P. L. France. Two of the saucers have additional backstamp J. Pouyat for T.M. James Kansas City Mo. T.M. James & Sons was a store in early Kansas City that sold fine china. It was established by Thomas Martin James, who moved there from Kentucky in 1854. After his death in 1901, his two surviving sons, both graduates of Brown University, operated the company. Later the store was sold to Joyce Hall, founder of Hallmark Cards. Cups and saucers are in excellent vintage/antique condition and are free from chips, cracks or scratches.

Set of 5 Antique Limoges Teacups and Saucers
