Vietnamese Drawing on Silk by Beky-Vintage-Man Smoking a Tobacco Pipe Asian Art
This is a drawing on silk by Vietnamese artist Beky. Features an elderly man smoking a traditional tobacco pipe known as a Thuoc Laos. Be Ky, or BeKy, was a Vietnamese artist, born in 1938. She started selling her art on the streets of Saigon. During the Vietnam War she sold much of her work to American soldiers stationed in Saigon and the surrounding area. In 1989 she emigrated with her husband, the artist Ho Thanh Duc, to the United States, where they joined a small artist community of Vietnamese refugees in Burbank.Measurements:Length- 19.5''Width- 12.5''**Please note…The item featured is not new…it is vintage and therefore may have some of the imperfections that are expected with age and history.
